The Idea - let's try to sell ink cartridges on Ebay to make some money!

John & David put 1 ink cartridge up for sale on EBay and waited 3 days - it sold! So they tried it again - it sold! So they tried 5 at one time - they sold! So they bought 59 ink cartridges and were off and running.

It worked so well they decided to form a corporation and sell ink cartridges.

That doesn't mean it was easy or that everything when along smooth. There were problems along the way.

Since we are located in Charleston, South Carolina on the east coast - an occasional hurricane would cause problems shipping the orders.

There was the time four weeks after the first web site went live - We received so many orders that the web site broke and had to be rebuilt from the ground up in 2 weeks.

Emails came pouring in - so many that David would spend sometimes 12 hours a day answering email and John would spend hours standing in line at the post office shipping the orders.

They began in a 9'x11' shed in David's backyard where they had to stand around a table to fill the orders with stacks of cartridges all around them. Now after two moves they are located in a spacious 2800 sq ft facility with room to triple current production.

What John and David began in 1999 as an idea has now grown into a business that has currently 12 employees and has sold over $6,000,000 of ink and toner cartridges to over 120,000 people and businesses in all 50 states and in 29 countries of the world.

Currently 65,000 ink and toner cartridges are in stock - a far cry from the first 59 ink cartridges that were in inventory.

How was this possible?

(1) Good business knowledge acquired from previous business experiences (mainly from John - After 70 years and many businesses, he does know something).

(2) Good hard working employees that really care about the customer and about the business.

3) More importantly, The Good Lord blessed us - way beyond our hopes and dreams!
